Dell Inspiron 6400 Xp Windows Driver Recovery Cd Restore Disk

Hi, I recently purchased a Dell Inspiron 6400 from a company that went out of business. I did a system restore to clean off all the information that was put on it by the company and when it re-booted, everything was lost. Not even the start button normally displayed on the bottom left corner is missing. I called Dell about my situation and was told since the notebook was not sold to me, they cannot be of help.

There are available options which you may attempt. First you may request a Transfer of Ownership (United States Only) or International Tag Transfer.

Another alternative may be to visit Dell Community Forums @. Maybe you can search for replace a lost Dell system restore disk.

Recovery CD’s are specific to your computer manufacturer and model. Please contact Dell Technical support for assistance once you are successful @ having the laptop transferred.
