Dear Customer Support, In my network I use TP-Link TL-PS110U as our print server, some of computer in my network using Windows XP, and Windows Vista for their operating System. A few days ago I've installed Windows 7 as my operating system for my Notebook. After the OS successfully installed, I want to install network printer as my default printer which connected to TP-Link TL-PS110U but I've got a problem when trying to do that, the print-server cannot access by windows 7, when trying to connect I got a error popup windows as described below: ' PRINTSERVER is not accessible. You might not have permission to use this network resource. Contact the administrator of this server to find out if you have access permissions. A remote procedure call (RPC) protocol error occured' I need your help, how to solve that problem, because when I use windows 7 as my operating system, I think this OS have more stability, realibility and faster speed than Vista. Thanks for your attention and response.
Not real sure why that TP-Link TL-PS110U just doesn't jump right on Seven? You might read this tutorial. I just made the dlink work on a customers office set up.
(for dlink owners) make sure you access your dlink via firefox (or what ever - the ip address is for the print server) find the configuration tab and look for the port name under 'port settings' copy and paste this when adding your tcp/ip port. I am assuming that when you add any print server device that this info must be known in order to make work correctly - the tutorial might shed some light for someone. ALSO: we downloaded the vista drivers from HP - Canon - Epson and used those when it prompted for the printer driver. (we extracted the drivers into their own folders before we began the 'add printer' wizard.
Use this tutorial via the dlink page Now go here for your TP-Link TL-PS110U drivers ( I did download this driver if you need it?) I think once you get the server to be seen in your network. The rest is easy as pie. If you have found a solution to our particular hook up, could you please post? Thank you good luck.
Windows Seven really does Rock!
